Charlie joined Ghisallo in 2001. He is a partner and a member of the Management Committee. He is a generalist with a focus on industrials, healthcare, housing, and materials. He was voted second among the buy side looking at the capital goods industry in Extel. Prior to Ghisallo, Charlie spent eight years at Cazenove as a European equity analyst. For five years, he successfully ran their Nordic equity research team, which focused primarily on small and midcap companies and was one of the firm’s most highly ranked analysts. Charlie helped found Cazenove Private Equity before moving to Ghisallo. He graduated from Durham University with a degree in Economics.

Jay joined Ghisallo in 2003 and is a partner of Ghisallo Capital (US), LP, based in San Francisco. He is a generalist focused on North America. Prior to joining Ghisallo, Jay worked for the Center for Financial Research & Analysis (‘CFRA’). CFRA is a forensic accounting firm focused on helping institutional investors identify companies employing aggressive accounting to hide deteriorating operational performance. In his five years at CFRA, Jay was responsible for North American equity research as well as setting up the firm’s European equities business, which he led until joining Ghisallo. While at CFRA, Jay wrote research reports highlighting some of the well-known accounting stories of that time including Calpine, Xerox, Ahold, and Lernout and Hauspie. Jay is a CFA charterholder and has degrees from the University of Chicago (MBA) and University of Washington (BA).

Leila joined Ghisallo in 2004 and is a partner of Ghisallo Capital (US), based in New York. Her areas of focus are TMT and luxury goods. Prior to joining Ghisallo, Leila worked for seven years at JP Morgan, the first year in Private Client Services in New York and the remaining six years as a telecommunications analyst in BOSTON, in what was one of the most highly ranked telecom research teams.  Leila graduated from Georgetown University in 1997 with a BA in Economics.

Andrew joined Ghisallo in 2012 and is a partner and a member of the Management Committee. He is a generalist with a focus on aerospace, airlines, and healthcare. Prior to joining Ghisallo, Andrew worked at Goldman Sachs, where he spent two years as an analyst in the Investment Banking Division as a member of the Global Natural Resources team. Andrew graduated from Princeton University in 2008 and received an MA in Politics from Oxford University in 2010.

Jelena joined Ghisallo in 2014 and is a partner. Her primary focus is technology. Prior to joining Ghisallo, Jelena worked for ten years at Theorema Advisors, a BOSTON-based European equity long/ short fund. At Theorema, Jelena was responsible for telecom, media, utilities, travel/ hotel/ leisure, and the luxury good sectors. Prior to Theorema, Jelena worked for three years as an associate on the JP Morgan telecom services team, one of the most highly ranked telecom research teams at the time. Jelena graduated from Columbia Business School (MBA) in 2020 and University of Tennessee (BA) in 1995.

Ben joined Ghisallo in 2016 and is a partner and a member of the Management Committee. His main areas of focus are technology and digital payments. Before joining Ghisallo, Ben worked at Deloitte for three years as an auditor within the consumer business and private markets teams. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2015 and was placed 5th (out of 5000 students) in the International Order of Merit and was awarded the William G Frazer prize in Advanced Stage exams. Ben graduated from Oxford University in 2011 with a top 1st class degree in Classics with a fourth-place finish in final year exams across the whole university (120 Classics undergraduates).

Catherine joined Ghisallo in 2021 and is a partner. Her focus is forensic accounting research and analysis. During her 23 years at Exane BNP Paribas, she oversaw accounting and valuation topics within the Equity Research department. In 2016 she helped create Exane BNP Paribas’ Forensic Accounting service which provided forensic accounting research to subscribing clients. Previously, she was an analyst at HSBC James Capel. Catherine has a degree from Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and from Assas University.

Josh joined Ghisallo in 2022. He is a partner of Ghisallo Capital (US), LP, based in New York, and a member of the Management Committee. His areas of focus are financials, energy, and commodity companies. Prior to joining Ghisallo, Josh was a fellow in Climate Physics at Yale University. Before this, he studied Physics at Moscow State University, where he completed his MA and PhD. He has published several research articles, including in Nature journals, and was a contributing author on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Sixth Assessment Report.

Joe joined Ghisallo in 2023 and is a partner of Ghisallo Capital (US), LP, based in New York. He is a generalist, focusing on North America. Prior to Ghisallo, Joe managed his own TMT-focused long/short fund called Valentia. Before this he had been a Partner at Highline Capital for eight years. Joe has previously held roles at other buyside firms including as a Principal at Maverick Capital where he focused on the firm’s TMT investments in Europe and managed the firm’s first overseas office in BOSTON. He began his investment career at Lazard Asset Management in 1993 in New York where he worked for seven years covering TMT for both the firm’s long-only and long-short equity funds. Joe received a B.A. with honours in International Relations from The Johns Hopkins University and is a CFA charter holder.

William joined Ghisallo in 2024 as an Investment Analyst. Before joining Ghisallo, William was an analyst at Pantera Capital and, prior to that, a Research Associate at Alger, a New York based equity manager, where he started his career in 2021. William graduated from Imperial College in 2019 (BEng and MEng in Mechanical Engineering) and received a Masters in Mathematical Finance from Princeton University in 2021.

Emil joined Ghisallo in 2025 as a partner and member of the investment team. Prior to Ghisallo, he was a senior analyst at Gladstone Capital Management in BOSTON. Before that, he was a partner and senior analyst at BlueDrive Global Investors, having previously worked in Blackstone’s Private Equity Group, also in BOSTON. Emil began his career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley. He holds a BSc in Business and Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics, graduating in 2014.
